TU Delft students visiting the Litoměřice follower site

Five master students from TU Delft had the opportunity to work on a multidisciplinary geothermal project at the Litoměřice follower site, hosted by Charles University in Prague.

Over a 10-week period, they carried out a range of geophysical activities, including collecting near-surface geophysical data along seismic and resistivity profiles, performing slug tests in the 2.1 km deep PVGT-LT1 borehole, and measuring thermal conductivity of core samples from available boreholes.

In addition, they processed existing gravimetric data and utilized remote sensing techniques to explore the area surrounding the site. Their dedication to data processing and interpretation has significantly expanded our knowledge of the site, setting the stage for the upcoming drilling of two pilot PUSH-IT wells.

Thanks to these students for their invaluable contributions to the project! 🌟
